Been listening to this song lately and thinking about seeking God. What does He really want from us anyway... Alace said one time that the Lord clearly said to her "Seek me, not just my answers". But answers are what I want!!!
Today I wondered why it was so hard to just seek Him... there are so many distractions here (on earth). Some friends kid me about being distracted by shiny objects, but I think we might all be distracted by the "shiny objects" here. Maybe that's the thing about Heaven, there will be no shiny objects... just God... no distractions!

Waiting
Psalm 27:14
Wait for the LORD, be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
I expect Him to show up when I am ready. Ok, I've got a half hour in the morning... that's all you get... and sometimes I may be too tired to show up... or I might sleep in and do it a little later... I can pretty much come up with a slew of excuses why I might not be there.
How arrogant am I?????
Just like waiting to see an important person (doctor, president, etc.) - you wouldn't go into the castle demanding to see Him - you would sit and wait. But I am so bent on living MY life. I come when it is convenient for me - whether He is there or not.
While waiting I will praise Him.
